I had to re-install Grome today because of an odd display bug (the grid wouldn't render). When I try to activate it the window disappears and the browser to find license file never runs. I've done a complete uninstall (Revo Uninstaller) twice with no success.

A reply would have been nice but I managed to solve the problem. The 64bit version wouldn't let me activate. When pressing the activate button the program crashed.

I was able to activate Grome using the 32bit version. Afterwards the 64bit version was able to launch.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response. It seems that there was something wrong with my site and I never got an email alert when a post was made.

Indeed, I do remember that you had some issues with the 64bit activation. Glad to hear that is resolved for now.

Hello, Adrian,
I'm trying to remember back so many years but I do believe when I first installed v3 that I had the same problem with a very different system. I don't run any disk utilities but it could be one of the other programs.

I had to reinstall Grome after a system rebuild and the problem came back. Except this time I couldn't activate with the 32bit version but I could with the 64bit version. Computers. Can't live with them. Can't eat them for dinner.

Hi, I do recall you had a similar issue. I may need to go back in the emails archive to find out if we had a solution back then. If the problem reappears please send me the log files (Builder/Bin32/Logs for 32bit or Builder/Bin64/Logs depending which version is the trouble maker).

So for now Grome is working right? (as long as one of the versions allows you to activate the program, after that both are working).
