Hi,

My name is Mihai Daranga and I am the Art Director from Quad Software.

I’m posting here some printscreens from Grome of a quickly created
terrain that I've done in approx. 45 mins.

Sample map created using:
- 5x5 zones of 256x256 each, with 5 units per tile (1 unit is 1 meter).
Thus 1 zone is 1.28 square Km.
- Fractal noise using an Eroded Mountains preset on one layer of
heightmap and a simple noise on another layer of heightmap for more
detail (this second layer can help when the shadow is generated, it
will
give more detail to the terrain).
- Color generator to create 7 layers of textures for grass, rock and
mud.
- Quickly spawn some trees using the ObjectBrush.
- Generate shadow with ShadowMap tool.
- Adjust lighting, fog color and distance to match the sky and terrain.

I hope this post will break the ice and will get you started. We are
looking forward to see your work.

Best Regards,
Mihai
