Hi I was wondering if the new version of Grome is able to use more than 25% of my cpu as it is the only new feature I would like to have, I won't bother upgrading from v2 if there is no multi-core support.
Also would it possible to get a cheap upgrade that only includes multi-core support?
Grome 3.0 doesn't yet support multi-core support. It does however use GPU / CPU combined power for some tools (GPGPU). For example: the roads affect terrain in real-time using GPU shaders for processing. We do plan to allow multi-core support in the future versions as many of our terrain tools are suitable for this. Your system probably has 4 cores and Grome is using 100% from one of them.
There is none. You just program with multiple threads of execution. It is the job of the operating system to properly schedule them on multiple cores of the same processor or on multiple separate CPUs.
