Hi,

Are you referring to the fact that rotated objects don't appear in your engine as in Grome?

If so, what engine are you using? Is it an in-house engine or licensed?

How are you exporting the objects? With what exporter?

What is the coordinate system for your engine?
Grome uses left-hand coordinate system with OY up, OZ forward. Did you applied the necessary conversions?

Kind Regards,
Adrian L.

In Engine Help

The 3D space in Engine is represented by the right-handed Cartesian coordinate system: X and Y axes form a horizontal plane, Z axis points up. When exporting an animation from 3D editors, Y is considered a forward direction.

do I create matching viewer?

Hi,

So you need to transform from the Grome coordinate system to the engine coordinate system. Search on internet documentation how to change from left to right handed coordinate system.

For example, in brief, if you are exporting final transformation matrices, try to exchange column 2 with column 3 (so OY is exchanged with OZ). If you are exporting individual components (translation, rotation, scale), exchange .y with .z, inverse the sign on z etc.

Kind Regards,
Adrian L.
