Of course. There are already exporters that come with Grome which do that. Large data exporter for example knows to export a very large raw or png file with the entire heightmap and textures. It is actually using the Grome swap system to bring zones in and out of memory and streaming the output line by line so it never runs out of memory.
The complete source for all plugins come with the Grome license so you can develop your own plugins using the existing ones as examples.
You can also collapse multiple layers of terrain textures into big high-res images before exporting.
These features are very important if you want to output large files for engines that can stream them in memory as player moves around and for special features like megatexture.
In future Grome version you will also be able to split and merge zones inside Grome UI.
