How can I make a lightmap in 3DS Max 08 for use in a game? I really don't understand how to do this at all. I just need to pre render a lightmap, save it, and import a level into my game. Can anyone point me to a tutorial on this? I need instructions for the 2008 release too, 3DS Max is to big and I can't figure it out. Please help!

I cannot give you support for 3DS Max (maybe other users have experience with this) because I don't have much experience with it. What I can give you is detailed information how to create terrain lightmaps in Grome. In 3DS Max you probably need to prepare a special UV map and then use render to texture to it. I am sure there are lots of tutorials out there how to do it.
