Hi, new to Grome, dose it export in DirectX in one file?
Dose it blend texture or just appear squarish blending, like PNP terrain.
What dose it export to.
- Can buildings and trees can be put in commercial game?
Thanks

I suppose you are referring to .x format. Out-of-the-box Grome will not export to that format but you can write your own export plugin directly to any format (Grome comes with a well documented SDK). To be noted that the .x format is not really suited for holding terrain data (it is a general mesh format). For this I recommend using a dedicated terrain format. What engine are you using? We may be able to provide you with some directions based on your engine.

It does both. You can choose to export separate textures, textures combined together in blend maps or single baked textures at very high resolution (the exporters are capable to save high res images streaming them out to disk).

Yes you can use all the assets into any project, commercial or not, without any royalties. Grome comes with a library of 200 high quality textures and a library of trees and buildings.

Thanks, as game engine I am using 3D Rad. It take only .x all the way for everything possible, as well as terrain.

Thanks

We don't have an official support for 3D Rad but this may change in the future if many clients request it.

In case you really need .x format I recommend writing an export plugin to that format. Documentation and samples are plenty in the Grome SDK. Also all the default plugins come with full source code in the SDK so you can use them as examples. Also I would be more than happy to assist you.

Adrian L.
