Is it possible to have textures that encompass several zones at once rather than being limited to per-zone? Right now the tiling is very obvious, and I want to have a few all-over textures that are projected in world space rather than for each zone.

Inside Grome you cannot have one continuous texture spread across multiple zones. The point of working with different zones is to have different images and masks for different portions of the map. Having one texture on multiple zones will create difficulties for various editing tasks (layer marked in us, swapping etc).

I assume you mean one color texture (without mask) that you want to cover multiple zones. For this there is a solution though. You can use the raw import to create multiple zones and at the same time have a big jpg texture that is used for all the zones. The jpg is broken by the importer in multiple textures and each is assign to a different zone. This plugin also creates the zones to which the texture is assigned but you can easily change it to apply the texture to existing zones. The source code is provided with the SDK, so you can modify it and create an utility plugin that takes the current selected zones and assign a big image to cover all.
