Hi,

One solution would be to export to RAW and then convert to BT (using for example VTBuilder from vterrain.org).

Another solution is to use the current BT importer and convert it to an exporter (should be pretty straightforward if you are a programmer).

But in "export dialog" no RAW file format. I see only:
Collada: .dae
Osg: .osg .ive
Text: .txt

I have much terrain and DEM (for GIS) editors and convertors, but no one know this formats =(

Hi, select text export which (strangely enough Smile ) can also export raws. From its dialog select Export heightmap as 16bit raw/png images. Then the options button bellow lets you specify the range and how many images to be created. In case you create one for the entire scene, the raw is sampled with a step (you usually select the it to be equal with the terrain tile size).

We also plan to make a separate, more advanced plugin for raw and jpg images. See the Torque exporter which is capable to save huge raw and jpg files using the Grome swap system:

You can use it to produce really big raw files.
