Prior to taking on my current task of modeling the terrain for the project I am I was working on a 2d map. This was being generated in AutoCAD by referencing an old roadmap and generating the old linework with AutoCAD splines.

My question is whether Grome would be able to import such linework and allow me to use it to define my roadways and waterways?

Hello, we are currently exploring several approaches to roads/ paths / waterways modeling.

It's likely that we will include such a feature, consisting of the path data (a special type of layer) and the tools required to import / model the paths. The path data is a type of parametric surface or a parametric curve, so importing other type of curves (such as splines) or poly-lines will be pretty straightforward.
