Hello, I would like to present you some of the Grome procedural creation capabilities using fractal and erosion algorithms. All the modifications were applied using FractalNoise and Erosion tools on 2 by 3 zones of 512 by 512 tiles each, with a tile of 10 meters. The tools settings are presented next to generated terrain image. Many of these settings are part of standard presets that come with the Grome build.

This document will be part of the Knowledge database, an entire new section that we are preparing for the site and will contain tutorials, FAQ, articles, tips&tricks and other Grome materials.

Some fractal noise presets:

Multiple applications of thermal erosions:

Application of terracing:

Other fractal noise variations:

Sequence of fractal noise with various altitude and details:

Application of thermal erosion to wash out the rocks:

Other variations of fractal noise:

Many of this tools are available only in the Professional Edition. You can experiment by tweaking parameters and combining the presets on multiple layers of heightmaps.

Hi,
You have all this parameters , presets and more already saved with Grome in : Procedural Heightmaps / FractalNoise / Presets

Also you can save there your own presets if you find interesting fractals parameters

You can save Presets for every tool from brushes to fractals
