Hi,

There is no direct merge command in Grome. You can try to achieve the same effect using export / import plugins. There are several default plugins you can use. The heightmap can clearly be exported and imported with DTED, 16bit raw, geotiff etc. Roads can be imported and exported using the existing road exp/import plugins (that are using an xml format).

The problem is with the masks for material layers and other types of layers. There are no default plugins that can import all these data (simple text exporter can be used for saving).

But all the necessary functions are implemented and documented in the SDK so you can create your own plugins to deal with this data. If you don't have programmers in house for this we are more than happy to help you as a customization project (please send us an email at contact at quadsoftware.com). Or we can help you with all the support in case you decide to make this in house.

Also, to be noted that very huge maps may need to be avoided sometime due to floating point precision, harder management, need of bigger memory space etc.

Kind Regards,
Adrian L.
