I imported a heightmap for further editing and texturing. When I imported it I used the option to include a texture so that there would be a texture over the entire map to make it more visible. Once I was finished with the heightmap changes I wanted to delete this texture so that I could begin adding the desired textures to a blank terrain. To do this I simply deleted the materials layer. This appeared to work since the texture disappeared from the zones that were active. When I moved to other zones, that were previously swapped, I found that the original texture was still there and that I cannot add any other textures. I can only texture the zones that were active when I deleted the layer.

I have a significant amount of time in this terrain. How can this be corrected?

Hi,

So, just to be sure, you've deleted the layer ? (not just "clear from selection").

I've tested this on my build and everything was fine. Here are the steps I've used (let me know if this is similar with your situation):

1. created 2 zones
2. assigned a simple color layer to them with a texture
3. swap one of the zones
4. deleted the layer
5. unswap the zone
6. zone had the layer removed

So everything was ok. These are some simpler steps than your sequence but it should be similar (importing data is similar with creating it).

Can you send me the map? I will send you a personal message with login information on a FTP account.

Regards,
Adrian L.

ALicu, I am sure that I deleted the layer.

I can upload the map. It is large, 16 x 16 zones with each zone 513 x513. Will that be ok? Also, please tell me which files (and where they will be) to send.

You need to include the .workspace file and its associated data folder (is the folder in the same directory as the workspace file and with the same name). You can also include the image files you've used for the layers (probably from libraries folder) or you just omit those (and I will use other files). You can also archive the data to make it smaller (I recommend rar).

I've sent you the FTP as a personal message on the forum. You need to login on forum and select the link next to Profile :: ... , in the right-top corner.

I will also send you the login data to your registered email.

Adrian L.
